Story Word Challenge
1) Attend an upcoming event, retreat, or trip that will create meaningful experiences and memories for you.
2) Instead of journaling everything in detail, just observe and be present during the experience itself.
3) After the event concludes, take some time to write down "story words" - concise keywords that trigger memories of significant moments.
4) Aim for 5-10 story words maximum to encapsulate the entire experience.
5) Put these story words somewhere you'll revisit them - maybe a note on your phone, calendar event, or piece of paper you'll rediscover later.
6) Months or even a year later, review those story words and see if the memories of the experience come flooding back vividly.
This challenge pushes you to document meaningful experiences in a minimalist, keyword-based way rather than lengthy journaling - making it easier to revisit and vividly recall those memories down the road.
"Story words are markers that provide an effective way to inventory your stories.” — Patrick Mosher
